Professional
The hazel eyed, pink lipped boy became everyone’s favourite after his performance as a child artist in the movie Masoom (1983). He was seen in many movies as a child artist. Some of them are Karma (1986) and Sultanat (1986).
Jugal as a child was also a model for TV and Print media. His campaigns for Nutramul were best known for the slogan - Be a Nutramul Dada.
He started his adult career with Aa Gale Lag Jaa (1994) opposite Urmila Mantondkar then he was found opposite to Mayuri Kango in Papa Kehte Hain (1995) also starring the legendry actor Anupam Kher. Then he was seen in the Yash Raj film Mohabbatein
starring superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai. This film did well at the box office. He has also played many small roles in movies like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, the big hit Salaam Namaste and also in Aaja Nachle, Madhuri Dixit's 2007 come-back film.
He recently served as a writer and director for the animated movie Road Side Romeo produced jointly by Yash Raj Films and Walt Disney Studios. The dialogues of the movie are in the voice of Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Javed Jaffrey. Though this movie got a good response from the critics, it did not have good earnings and was dubbed as a big flop.
